didn't run today - should have - but didn't and the legs are still not feeling good. sigh.
the marathon kick off dinner was tonight at pj chang's and all the anxiety about the marathon came flooding back. yikes. i'm very scared.
you know up until now i hadn't wanted anyone at the marathon. i didn't want anyone to witness how awful i will look doing this. i'm going to digress here for a little bit - i have this need to look graceful or competant when trying new things. i don't like looking like a fool. running this marathon i will NOT be graceful on any level. okay i'm back to the point now so i didn't want anyone there. well tonight someone asked how many friends/family were attending. i said none. suddenly i realized i wanted some there - more than anyone my family. it's too late now and i'll do cool on my own.

how cute you guys had a group dinner together!!!!! i LOVE that.
and i am sure that if you send out a little email, that anyone who is in town for the weekend will come out to show support for you! any chance you can get your mother to book a last minute flight?
and i'm pretty sure marathons were not made for looking graceful. people poop during those things. but you won't!
you're going to actualize a huge goal, and it will feel AMAZING! go sarah!
Like I said...I'm happy to cheer you on! You just need to tell me where to be and I'll be hangin' out on the course!
ahhhhhhhhhhhh.... i wish i could be there for you!!! if i wasn't so jet lagged and if i had any money, i'd hop on a plane tomorrow!!! send out an email and see who can come out and support you. trust me, i look terrible every time i run. i looked bad during the marathon too. BUT, that's not the point.
it was definitely helpful to have people out there for me along the course. it definitely boosted my spirits in a major way... my parents couldnt make it but alice's parents were there cheering me on which was so nice and of course devs came out which was awesome - she rode her bike all the way down south... to china town?? can't remember where i saw her along the course at this point... and i didn't know but nicole and her hubby called my name on the course and it was great to see them too.
here's a tip: get sarah, catherine, and whoever else in la to be along the course at different points - or altogether - and if they can try to move around to a couple spots on the course - you'll love their support. and if by chance no one is able to make it (but sarah says she can!), then definitely take up people's high 5s along the course and cheer on other TNT people. are you wearing the singlet they gave you?? you should - then people will know to cheer for you. and put your name on your shirt - randoms will cheer you on and even tho you don't know them, it's still awesome to hear your name. hope this helps!!
