Well crap I thought I did 16+ miles but I guess when mapping it out it's about 15 1/4. I think. Damn.
Okay so run details...
Started out walking to warm up the little calves (they were feeling okay this morning). Then went into my intervals in reverse (1 minute running 2 minutes walking). I ended up doing that all the way to the golf course - so all the way up hill - about 5 miles. It ended up feeling like a more manageable interval for the long distance.
Once at the golf course I was feeling so well that I started running and turned off the clock. I ran about 3/4 mile straight which is pretty huge for me. It felt good. Of course once I stopped I got super tired. So I kept going but everything started hurting - and quickly.
I made it home and wasn't in too bad of shape. I felt good earlier on but by the end I felt like shit. Not a good sign when I have 10 extra miles to do in 2 weeks. Sigh.
I did the entire run alone. I've done almost all of my training alone. Go Team!

congrats!!! that's great! you'll be able to do it. i felt the same way when i did team in training. i was almost always by myself. i got used to it, but when i found the running group that i run with now, i was much happier. i found a group to fit my pace and now i have people to run with. perhaps there is a group like that in la.. im sure they must have one...
