So I was planning on getting up early this morning for a run. Climbed in bed early last night and then couldn't sleep so was up way later than planned (what is that? I'm exhausted all day - can't wait to sleep - then go to bed and am wide awake - it's torture). The getting up early to run didn't happen.
Instead I went out at lunch today. That's right in the middle of the day I left my office and ran for 2 miles around our neighborhood. It was hard. No lies there but it feels really really good to be back out exercising. I did the 2 miles in about 20 minutes which is really good for me.
So the goal is to increase the weekly mileage. Jessica gave me that advice and I think it's good advice. This resting and stretching 3 days a week is too much.

10 min miles?! that's awesome. i do 12 min miles. i want to work on speed for me. i want to improve my time for the marathon this year.
congrats on getting out at lunch for your runs! but i have a q - when you get back aren't you a hot sweaty mess?? and then do you change or what?
i'm not a big sweater (how do you spell that because the word i just used is an article of clothing).
i'm really not gross when i get back just red faced for the rest of the afternoon.
