Day 64 - Last Day of Taper

Alcohol Units: maybe a glass
Running Units: 6 miles
Other exercise Units: 0
Stretching Units: not enough - working on more

This was our last Sunday of "base building". Apparently 6 miles is small fries. Ridiculous if you ask me but I'm going with it.

It was a nice day to run in terms of weather. Not too hot. Not too cold. The rain held off until we were finished. It was good.

My first 7-8 sets of my intervals went pretty well. The legs cramped again but not as bad. I ended up walking a good part of the run. Still trying to figure out why I needed to walk so much of it. Could be that I ran out of steam. Could be I haven't built up the stamina. Could be any number of things. I was disappointed I didn't run more but it wasn't an awful run.

Looks like I'm going to do my first fundraiser soon. It will be an Oscar party here in Santa Monica.

it will get easier! i'm proud of you for doing the 6 miles! here's what ihave learned: building strength in your legs goes a long way to help your stamina. i hate squats more than you could know but they are good for running. ...
