Day 54 - Track Closure

Stretching Units: uh huh

I arrived at group practice to find Coach Gary hanging outside the gate. Santa Monica High School (SaMoHi) "redid" their track. What that entails/means I have no idea. The track is about 500X nicer than the one I had in high school. Back to the group workout...

Coach Gary was quite helpful and quite encouraging - again. The group did jog/run intervals while I did walk/jog intervals. My left leg on the outside just above the knee has been hurting for a week. They say I need a foam roller. Guess who's going shopping!!

I set a new reward for myself. This kick a** runner in our group, Colleen, wore these super cute shorts. They would not look good on me. I decided when I can run as much as she can (not as fast because wow she's freaking fast!) I'm going to get those shorts.
