Cousin Emily asked if there was any hiking around in those mountains north of Santa Monica. After I finished chuckling at the midwest perception of a "mountain" I told her there most certainly was. We set off for a vigorous hike that I used to do with Sonki's Boot Camp. Some of you out there may have taken this hike with me.
It was supposed to be a hot day in LA but at the beach the marine layer was making a strong showing. Unfortunately the higher we got on our hike the less wind there was. It got hot. We both had a little tummy trouble that morning so our hike wasn't the best ever until we got to the downhill part. Then we rocked it.
I did wear my old running shoes and got new blisters. Sheesh!!
